Weekly Roundup No. 31
As I said in last weeks post I have carved out the next few weeks too painting, and so far so good. Tuesday and Wednesday I spent working up at Dan and Huws. I don't think I have seen a more beautiful garden, I am very lucky to be invited to paint there. Wednesday was more successful for me as the sun was out again and I am working with photography to create my new pieces. I wont say too much about what I am up to as I am still in the experimental stage and want to keep the process very organic and see where I go with it.
i. Monday I launched my new online shop. So far with my etchings and two new sets of postcards. There are two types of postage fees so I can offer cheaper rates. One-off pieces are still available via catalogue only.
ii. Last year I was approached by Kate White and Danielle Copperman to be part of their new Zine they were creating. Well Being & Other Stories has just been released this week. it contains one of my most personal interviews, it was more about the rituals I put in place to create the work.
iii. Castle Farm Cafe is not too far from my studio and has just changed hands. The food is so good, I am using it as a great meeting place with clients while the studio is too hot, because of the sunny weather.
iv. Re-watched this Matisse documentary about his cut-outs.
