Weekly Roundup No. 25

I wasn't going to do a post this week and just have the guide to Copenhagen but it has been one of the best weeks of my life. Monday I turned 30 and spent my time seeing art in Denmark at Louisina. Wednesday went to Chelsea flower show and Saturday was the Cherry on top I got the news that my work has been excepted into the Royal Academy Summer exhibition! I have been dreaming of this moment for so many years, also to see the look on my family's face and how proud they were of me was the best feeling.

i.  On the journey over to Denmark, I only managed to listen to one podcast before i fell asleep, as I was so tired from racing around trying to get work finished before my trip. Go listen to Late night woman's hour episode called hashtag blessed.

ii.  After eating in Copenhagen I now want to eat like the Danes, so I have ordered an open sandwiches cookbook and finally bought the Violet Bakery cookbook to make their cinnamon rolls.

iii.  On the wish list: Arnold Circus Stool Sandstone, spotted at Chelsea Flower Show.

iv. I am always trying to make everything I use for my work eco-friendly/biodegradable etc I bought some Nut Scene twine from Chelsea for my packaging.

v. Re-reading Henri Matisse - a Second life but Alastiar Sooke

vi. This week I also managed to squeeze in going to the Bath Festival where I discovered the band The Wandering Hearts.

vii. Clearing my studio out in readiness for future projects coming later in the year, now 50% on the tulip prints and discounts on lots of other items online.

viii. Martin Parrs photos for the Guardian really sums up Chelsea Flower show to me.
